Privacy Limits

What a VPN Can and Cannot Hide

A VPN hides your IP address, physical location, DNS history, and raw data packets. It cannot hide browser cookies, device fingerprinting details, or accounts you actively log into.

What is Hidden

When connected, your local network operator, ISP, and public Wi-Fi providers cannot see the URLs of the websites you visit or the data you send. They can only see that you are connected to a VPN IP.

What Remains Visible

Websites you visit can still see your browser's user agent, screen resolution, local storage cookies, and any account credentials you enter.

Recommendations

To build a stronger privacy boundary, clear your browser cookies regularly and use private browsing windows alongside your active VPN session.
