VPN Basics

How to Choose a VPN Location

Choose a VPN server closest to your physical location for the fastest connection speeds and lowest latency. Choose international servers if you need to test routing from that specific country.

Speed and Latency

Every network packet must travel physically from your device to the VPN server and then to the target website. The further the server, the higher the latency.

When to Choose Local

For normal daily browsing, streaming, and online gaming, choose the closest server. This minimizes latency and maintains peak upload/download speeds.

When to Choose International

If you are a developer testing regional configurations, or need to verify a connection route, select one of Zaylo's international premium locations.
